● REC
A collection of cursed recordings. Each tape contains something that should have stayed buried. Built in Unreal Engine 5, these found-footage nightmares blur the line between observer and victim. The tapes have been recovered. The question is whether you'll survive watching them.
RECORDED 01:47:23 / 02:00:00 (MiniDV)
RECOVERED FROM: SD card found near Denfert-Rochereau metro station, Paris. Owner never identified.
Relive the final descent of an urban explorer who ventured too deep into the forbidden catacombs beneath Paris. Your journey takes you through three nightmare zones: Les Carrières de Lutèce, the ancient limestone quarries where shadows writhe in narrow passages; L'Osuaire Municipal, where millions of skulls watch from bone-lined walls; and the flooded Galeries Interdites, where the water reflects something that should not exist.
Your only light source is a diegetic camera—a physical camcorder you hold in your hand. Its mechanical whir cuts through the silence. Its zoom motor screams in the dark. Every noise you make draws it closer.
L'Homme Vert dwells in the deepest tunnels. A blind humanoid, its skin a sickly greenish hue from decades in the dark. It hunts exclusively by sound. Its AI evolves through four behavioral states: Patrol (aimless wandering), Investigation (detecting anomalies), Alert (triangulating your position), and Hunt (pursuit until death or escape).
ENGINE: Unreal Engine 5 | PERSPECTIVE: First-Person (Diegetic Camera) / Third-Person (Camera Dropped)
ENDINGS: 5 possible fates await in the dark. The canonical ending is titled "Lost." Few have seen the others.
RECORDED 03:24:11 / 04:00:00 (VHS EP Mode)
RECOVERED FROM: Evidence locker #404, marked for destruction. Contents: 1 body-cam, 12 VHS tapes, 1 detective's badge.
A detective returns to the scene of his greatest failure—an abandoned industrial complex where 12 people vanished without a trace years ago. Among them: his partner. The case went cold. The building was condemned. But the tapes remained.
The architect of their disappearance is The Engineer, a man who spent 40 years constructing a judgment machine. His son died due to a legal technicality. The guilty walked free. So he built a place where justice could be delivered by force—a cathedral of rust and punishment, where the Judge, the Prosecutor, the Jurors, and everyone who failed him would answer for their sins.
You will experience The Mortal Games—a twisted trial where you control all 12 victims in the past via VHS playback. Each tape is a puzzle. Each death is permanent. Your actions in the recordings unlock new areas in the present-day industrial complex, revealing the truth one corpse at a time.
Past (VHS): Third-person perspective as you control the doomed. Present (Body-Cam): First-person investigation through the aftermath.
ENGINE: Unreal Engine 5 | PERSPECTIVE: Mixed (First-Person & Third-Person)
ENDINGS: Sin Rostros, Case Closed, 404, or Infected. The truth depends on who survives.
RECORDED 02:38:54 / 03:00:00 (VHS SP Mode)
RECOVERED FROM: Classified. Siberian salvage operation, 1991. Tape labeled in Cyrillic: "Объект А - Последняя запись."
The year is 1987. Deep beneath the Siberian tundra, a Soviet research facility conducts experiments on something that fell from the sky. You are that something. A humanoid entity, captured, dissected, tortured for years in the name of science and supremacy.
Tonight, you break free.
This is classic survival horror in its purest form: fixed camera angles, claustrophobic corridors, and the weight of every decision. But you are not defenseless. You wield Telekinesis—the ability to levitate objects, erect energy shields, and unleash devastating psychic bursts. You are a god among insects.
But you are also glass. One bullet ends you. This is the Glass Cannon difficulty—immense power married to absolute fragility. Use soldiers as human shields. Hurl their comrades into walls. Let them taste the fear they inflicted on you. But never let them fire first.
ENGINE: Unreal Engine 5 | PERSPECTIVE: Fixed Camera Angles (Classic Survival Horror)
MECHANICS: Telekinesis (Levitation, Shielding, Energy Bursts) | Glass Cannon Gameplay
SIGNAL LOST
STATUS: Under restoration. Playback unstable.
Two additional tapes have been located. Their contents are fragmented, corrupted by time and something else. Preliminary analysis suggests the following:
TAPE: EVIDENCE ROOM C — Crime scene footage from a case that shocked the nation in the late 2010s. Never released to the public. The trial ended in a mistrial. Key evidence was sealed by court order. What the jury never saw is on this tape. What the detectives couldn't explain. What made three investigators resign the day after viewing it. The case remains open. The footage remains classified. Until now.
TAPE: [ENCRYPTED] — A heavily corrupted recording. Format unknown. Attempts to decrypt have failed. Audio analysis reveals multiple overlapping voices speaking in reverse. Visual data is present but inaccessible without a decryption key. Preliminary forensic analysis suggests fragments of the key may be embedded within the other recovered tapes. Cross-referencing in progress. Playback pending.
Restoration in progress. Expected recovery: Unknown.
